G is for Giant

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind?
Should memories of the hearts we’ve loved
Be with us at this time

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We’ll take a cup o’kindness yet
For days of auld lang syne

We’ve braved the darkest days, my friend
And seen the longest night
We’ve seen the fears be brought to life
And faced them side by side

We’ve held the space for those we’ve loved
And said, too soon, good-bye
We’ve cried the tears to wash the wounds;
The streams that won’t run dry

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We’ll take a cup o’kindness yet
For days of auld lang syne

And yet we wake up day by day
To see the break of light
To see the face of kindness and
The hope that never dies

Now there’s a helping hand ahead
It’s here; it’s yours and mine
So keep the faith and walk with me
Towards a healing time

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We’ll take a cup o’kindness yet
For days of auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We’ll take a cup o’kindness yet
For days of auld lang syne
